Suggestions for improving the course material

It is possible to earn bonus points on the course by making suggestions for improving the course material. Submit your suggestions to the course coordinator. Use “Cyber1/material” as the subject line of your message. Using the methods below, it is possible to earn a maximum of 6 bonus points. You will receive a reply indicating either the bonus points awarded or that the suggestion has not been accepted. Because unclear cases are discussed jointly by the teachers approximately once a week, there may be a delay in the response.

Errors

If you identify a formatting error, you will receive one point for every two formatting errors reported. Clarifying an unclear expression also qualifies. If you identify a clear factual error in the material, you will receive one bonus point. Include a justification (unless it is obvious from the proposed correction) and a suggested correction in your report.

External material

You may also suggest external material to be linked, where a topic covered by the course is explained particularly clearly or in a complementary manner. Explain why it would complement or illustrate the material. If your suggestion is accepted as part of the course material, you will receive one bonus point.

Short videos

You may also propose a topic for a short video. Outline the content of the video in a few sentences. The content can, for example, be described using bullet points. If the idea is accepted, you will receive two bonus points. Additional details may be requested before the idea is approved.

Images

You may propose a self-created image for inclusion in the course material. Describe the idea in text and have it approved before creating the image. This helps to avoid unnecessary work. If the image is accepted, you will receive two bonus points after creating it and grant permission for its use in teaching. If the image is based on an external source (including AI), this must be disclosed, and the image is worth one point.

Accessibility

If you identify an accessibility issue on the platform, you will receive two bonus points. Describe the problem you experienced. If you have an idea for how the problem could be fixed, please include it. Awarding of points requires that the issue was not previously known to the course staff.
